No Genuine Feelings Involved in Prince William & King Charles’ Break Together, Say Sources

Prince William and King Charles‘ recent father-and-son “mini-break” may not be what it seems and could actually be a “PR spin.” The British royals are reportedly spending quality time together at Balmoral, enjoying various activities. However, according to the latest claims, the bonding is only for the public’s eyes. In reality, there’s a divide between William and Charles over two royals in particular — Prince Andrew and Prince Harry.

Prince William and King Charles are allegedly divided over their opinions on Prince Andrew and Prince Harry. Last week, the Daily Mail reported that the Prince of Wales flew to Balmoral for a “father-and-son mini-break.” The outlet learned from a royal insider that William was to spend “an informal few days with his father privately.” However, the trip may not have been what it seemed.

Rob Shuter exclusively learned from insiders that the “mini-break” is “pure PR spin.” While Buckingham Palace shared that William and Charles were enjoying fishing trips and fireside chats, it appears there was a divide between them in reality. A royal source told Shuter that the palace “wants images of unity.” However, they alleged that the “father and son are miles apart.”

The divide is reportedly over William and Charles’ conflicting opinions about Andrew and Harry. According to the report, the king still protects the Duke of York despite his years of scandals. On the other hand, the claims have suggested that William wants Andrew “exiled” due to his controversial history. Besides this, the Prince of Wales is seemingly also not open to reconciling with his estranged brother.

Earlier this month, the face-to-face meeting between Harry and Charles marked a huge step in their reconciliation process. They met over a private tea at the king’s residence in London on September 10. However, Harry‘s elder brother, William, was not part of the reunion. Shuter’s report continued that the heir is said not to be open to reconciling with the Duke of Sussex, unlike their father.

Meanwhile, another insider told Shuter that “this isn’t just a family spat.” They continued, “It’s about the monarchy’s future.” The insider warned that if William and Charles cannot “agree,” this would make the “whole institution” look “weak.”
