The Bold and the Beautiful executive producer and head writer, Brad Bell, has announced that the fan-favorite soap opera is all set to enter a new era after recently switching studio spaces. In a recent interview, Bell confirmed that the shift in the production location will also bring several changes to the CBS drama, even saying that eagle-eyed viewers might be able to catch some notable adjustments in the coming episodes.
Brad Bell says The Bold and the Beautiful’s new era will put ‘fashion into the forefront’
While speaking with People, Brad Bell noted that Bold and Beautiful’s shift to Sunset Las Palmas Studios after having called CBS Television City home for a whopping 38 years will usher in a new era for the show. The veteran television writer also disclosed that the soap will start putting more focus on the fashion elements of the show from now on.
“We are headed into an era of The Bold and the Beautiful, and it will begin here. That is going to be highlighting fashion much more than we have in the past, much more frequently, and also heading back to a two-battling fashion house way of storytelling, like we did with the set for the Forresters,” Bell said before adding, “We’re getting back to fashion. We’re putting fashion into the forefront.”
He then remarked that the new Bold and Beautiful episodes will highlight the soap’s historic move to Sunset Las Palmas Studios, albeit in a subtle manner. “Actually, the first episode you see that airs here, there will be some hidden little easter eggs in that episode. If you look closely, I think you’ll find them,” Bell revealed.
Noting that the entire Bold and Beautiful crew is in a “celebratory mood” following the move, Bell stated, “In record time, we moved from TV City here to Sunset Las Palmas, and it feels great, lots of space, lots of positive energy, and lots of hope for the future.”
Notably, Brad Bell, an eight-time Daytime Emmy Award winner, is the son of William J. Bell, who co-created The Bold and the Beautiful, as well as The Young and the Restless, alongside Lee Phillip Bell.
