Male cheerleaders have now taken over the Minnesota Vikings cheer squad, which can be seen in the recent clip posted by the NFL team on social media.
The team’s Instagram and TikTok accounts shared the video, accompanied by the caption, “The next generation of cheer has arrived!”
Another male cheerleader who has joined the Vikings for the 2025-2026 season, Blaize Shiek, took to his Instagram and expressed his joy over the opportunity. He wrote, “Rookie Year Excited and honored to share that I am officially a 2025-26 Minnesota Vikings Cheerleader! I am so grateful for this journey, the support, and the opportunity to make a little history along the way. I hope to represent and inspire what’s possible when you stay true to who you are. The Vikings have reportedly taken the step to promote gender equality and inclusivity. While male cheerleaders have been part of collegiate teams, fans are divided on this move.
According to ML Football, apart from the Minnesota Vikings, more teams will be joining the trend and include male cheerleaders. They stated on X (formerly Twitter) that approximately 12 teams are looking to implement the idea.
