Joe Jonas Makes Rare Comment About Raising Daughters With Sophie Turner

Curious about what Joe Jonas has said about raising his daughters with ex-wife Sophie Turner? The singer, who grew up with three brothers, recently shared how different parenting feels as a father to two young girls. His comments came during a podcast appearance that also featured his siblings, Nick and Kevin Jonas. So, what did he reveal about fatherhood and co-parenting?

Here’s what we know about Joe Jonas’ experience raising daughters and how it differs from his own upbringing.

Joe Jonas comments on raising two daughters with ex wife

Joe Jonas opened up about raising his two daughters, Willa, 4, and Delphine, 2, whom he shares with ex-wife Sophie Turner.

During the August 5 episode of Amy Poehler’s Good Hang podcast, Joe reflected on the contrast between growing up with only brothers and now being a father to girls. “Boys are so different than girls,” he said. “I’ll watch my kids on the playground and it’s, like, delicate. And then this kid will be like, ‘Ahh!’ And dive off the top of the slide. And you’re just like, ‘That is a boy.’”

Joe joined his brothers Nick and Kevin Jonas on the podcast, where they discussed parenting and growing up in a household of four boys. Joe credited their mother, Denise Jonas, for instilling values early on. “Four boys in one home. She was the boss, you know,” he said. “Growing up we needed a loud voice like her to be able to control us and also make sure that we weren’t pieces of s—.”

Joe and Sophie Turner were married from 2019 to 2023. In a separate conversation during Jay Shetty’s On Purpose Live Tour in May, Joe described Sophie as “an incredible mom” and called co-parenting with her “a dream come true.” He added, “As young girls, looking up to great women is what I want for them.” He shared that he wants his daughters to be “open-minded,” “have a big heart,” and “feel confidence and know that they can do literally anything they want.”

In July, a source told People that Joe and Sophie have “gotten into a co-parenting rhythm that really works.” The source added, “There’s a mutual respect now, and the girls are their priority.”
