Brooke Hogan explained her relationship with Hulk Hogan and his impact on her life on social media.
“My dad’s blood runs through my veins. His eyes shine through my children. And our bond has never been broken, not even in his final moments,” she wrote on Instagram. “We had a connection deeper than words, one that spanned lifetimes.”
She described the special bond she shared with her father and recalled happy memories with him, including how he used to build Barbie dream houses for her. Brooke Hogan also shared how she felt her father’s presence in her children, noting that her daughter Molly Gene sometimes smelled “just like him” whenever she held her.
The “Undiscovered” artist later explained how her relationship with the WWE icon declined.
“We never had a ‘big fight,'” Hogan shared. “My father and I never ‘fought.’ It was a series of private phone calls no one will ever hear, know, or understand.”
The singer revealed that Hulk Hogan would often confide in her about issues that troubled him and that she offered support in any way she could.
“I begged him to rest, to take care of himself,” she added. “He had nothing else to prove to the world or anyone.” Brooke Hogan said she and her husband, Steven Oleksy, moved to Florida to be near him. She noted that he was “getting older” and that she “wanted to be there as much as possible.”
Brooke Hogan revealed she was by Hogan’s side for 25 surgeries, but that he suddenly no longer wanted her to be present for them.
“Everything started getting covered in a thick veil,” she explained. “It was like there was a force field around him that I couldn’t get through.” She also mentioned that they had “respectful disagreements that took an emotional toll” on her. Brooke Hogan stated that during the last two years, she stepped away “to protect” her heart.
Hogan said that all she wanted from her father was “love, honesty, and a deep connection.” She expressed gratitude toward Hulk Hogan’s fans and friends for their “love, tributes, and memorials.”
