Judge Judy‘s husband is Jerry Sheindlin.
The two first crossed paths at a bar. Sheindlin recalled the first meeting with the Los Angeles Times. He stated, “Judy came walking in and put her finger in my face and said, ‘And who is this?’ I said, ‘Lady, get your finger out of my face.’ We’ve been together ever since.” The couple tied the knot in 1977. However, they ended up parting ways in 1990. Nevertheless, Judith and Sheindlin got back together and remarried in 1991.
What does Jerry Sheindlin do for a living?
Jerry Sheindlin has a multi-faceted career.
Born on November 19, 1933, Sheindlin hails from New York City. He served in the Army during the Korean War. He later pursued a bachelor’s degree from Long Island University. Additionally, Sheindlin earned an L.L.B. from Brooklyn Law School. He also worked as a trial judge in the New York Supreme Court for many years.
Later, he joined the reality court-based show The People’s Court as a television arbitrator, becoming the presiding judge. Marilyn Milian eventually replaced him on the show after he worked there for many years. Jerry Sheindlin is also the author of two books titled Genetic Fingerprinting: The Law and Science of DNA Evidence and Blood Trail.
