Why Is ‘iPhone 17 Air Price’ Trending Amid New ‘Leaks’?

Rumors regarding Apple‘s upcoming “iPhone 17 Air price” are swirling around the Internet. Reports state the tech company might change its recent release strategy and introduce an iPhone Air or iPhone Slim, which could replace its “Plus” models.

What is ‘iPhone 17 Air Price’ about?

Apple’s rumored new launch, the iPhone 17 Air, is getting attention from the iOS users who are interested to know the price brackets. MacRumors claimed the new phones can cost around $899.

The report further noted that the iPhone 17 Air will be thinner than the other models. Users can expect the new model to be around 5.5mm thick. The new iPhone could also feature a single 48-megapixel rear camera.

Dubbed the “thinnest” iPhone model, the 17 Air could have a 6.6-inch display. Apple is expected to position the rumored iPhone 17 Air between the regular 17 and Pro models. The report also notes that Apple may place the camera in a horizontal bar-like bump at the back.

Among other features, the new model will have a 120Hz ProMotion display and contain an A19 chip. After introducing the USB-C port in iPhone 15 models, the 17 series will also continue with the same charging port.

Meanwhile, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has also stated that Apple is allegedly changing its launch strategy soon. Kuo claimed that the tech giant will introduce its lower-cost iPhones in the first half of the year. The company will reserve the launch of its Pro models for the fall.

The analyst further claimed, “The primary reason Apple adopts a bi-annual iPhone release schedule, with launches in 1H and 2H, is intense competition, particularly in China, prompting a shift in its marketing strategy.”

As per Kuo, iPhone 17 Pro Max, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Slim, and iPhone 17 will be available in 2025. In the first half of 2026, the tech giant may announce the iPhone 17e model. Later, the “iPhone Foldable,” iPhone 18 Pro Max, iPhone 18 Pro, and “iPhone 18 Slim” will allegedly be released in the second half of that year.

Kuo noted that Apple’s competitors typically release their new models by the first half. By launching new iPhones during the first half, “Apple could close the marketing gap.”
