Pom Klementieff’s Huntress Cameo in Peacemaker Seems All but Confirmed

James Gunn has opened up about what’s ahead in Peacemaker Season 2, hinting at a shocking cameo and a finale packed with revelations. He explained that the last episode will tie together many of the season’s threads while delivering long-awaited answers.

James Gunn confirms a shocking Peacemaker cameo, which could be Huntress

James Gunn said during an interview with Collider, “There’s also one really big appearance by somebody in the end of the season that I don’t think people will see coming.”

Nexus Point News previously reported that DC Studios was developing a Huntress project and had considered Pom Klementieff for the role. The report sparked speculation that Gunn could be referencing her cameo.

The Season has already included appearances from characters like Hawkgirl, Green Lantern, Maxwell Lord, and Rick Flag. Gunn also promised that “you’ll see one more character from Superman.”

The filmmaker explained in his interview with Collider that he always knew where Christopher Smith’s journey was headed. “I actually know where Peacemaker is going from here, so that was always a part of it. It was just, what’s the road from A to B, and figuring that out through Season 2.” He further emphasized that the finale will provide key resolutions, saying, “By the time you get to the end of the season, you’re going to have a lot of answers.”

The creator also revealed details about Harcourt’s arc, sharing that he had planned her relationship with Rick Flag since The Suicide Squad. “Jen [Holland] and I knew that Harcourt and Flag had been having an affair when The Suicide Squad stuff happened. That was her reason for disliking Peacemaker so much, from the very beginning of episode one.” Gunn added that bringing Joel Kinnaman back for Season 2 allowed him to show a lighter, comedic side rarely seen in the actor’s career.

Gunn described Season 2 as balancing both intimate character moments and large-scale action. “When you see Episode 8, it seems like it’s as big as any other four episodes,” he said. He also called the finale “bittersweet,” stressing its emotional weight.
