According to a new Spider-Man 4 rumor, Jon Bernthal’s Punisher will have a female sidekick in the movie. However, there is no confirmation regarding this from the actor or the producers of the upcoming Marvel production. Bernthal’s Punisher, who was last seen in Daredevil: Born Again, will appear alongside Tom Holland, Sadie Sink, Mark Ruffalo, Michael Mando, and more in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

Punisher will reportedly have a female sidekick in Spider-Man 4, based on a recent rumor. Scooper My Time To Shine Hello, aka MTTSH, shared the rumor with fans on her X (formerly Twitter) page.
MTTSH posted, “In Spider-Man Brand New Day, Punisher has a female partner to help him track and kill criminals. They are now filming huge action scenes with the two of them chasing and trying to kill Spider-Man villains.”
However, these details are just rumors, and nothing about the plot has been made public yet.
Previously, it was rumored that Tom Holland’s Spider-Man will team up with Punisher to take down Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk. However, another rumor suggested that Spider-Man and Punisher will go head-to-head in the movie, as the webslinger will try to stop Punisher from killing Michael Mando’s Scorpion.
In another clip that went viral from the set of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, cops were seen chasing a tank that the Punisher was reportedly driving. Numerous theories are swirling across the internet regarding the plot of Spider-Man 4, but apart from the story going “street level,” nothing has been confirmed.
Feige said in a roundtable discussion in July 2025, “We are seeing for the first time in the Tom Holland Spider-Man stories, him being a proper Spider-Man. Him being, by himself, dedicated to saving the city, and dealing with—for lack of a better term—street level crime as opposed to world-ending events that he faced when working with the other characters.”
