ABC has moved up the premiere dates for Grey’s Anatomy, 9-1-1, and its new spinoff 9-1-1: Nashville (via Deadline).

Originally scheduled for October 16, all three shows will now debut on Thursday, October 9, 2025. The lineup begins with 9-1-1 Season 9 at 8 p.m., followed by the series premiere of 9-1-1: Nashville at 9 p.m., and Grey’s Anatomy Season 22 at 10 p.m.

The revised schedule allows ABC to get a head start on CBS’s Thursday night slate, which includes Ghosts, Elsbeth, and Matlock, returning on October 16. NBC’s Law & Order lineup and Fox’s Hell’s Kitchen will return earlier on September 25.

Season 9 of 9-1-1 explores the aftermath of Captain Bobby Nash’s death and teases a leadership shift, as hinted in the Season 8 finale. Angela Bassett, Oliver Stark, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Ryan Guzman, Aisha Hinds, Kenneth Choi, and Gavin McHugh lead the cast. Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, and Tim Minear created the series, with 20th Television and Ryan Murphy Television producing it.

9-1-1: Nashville is the second spinoff in the franchise after 9-1-1: Lone Star. It follows Captain Don Sharpe, played by Chris O’Donnell, leading a firehouse in Tennessee. The cast includes Jessica Capshaw, LeAnn Rimes, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, Hailey Kilgore, Michael Provost, Juani Feliz, and Hunter McVey. The show is described as a “high-octane procedural” combined with a family drama.

Grey’s Anatomy returns with an 18-episode Season 22, picking up from the hospital explosion cliffhanger in Season 21. The ensemble cast includes Ellen Pompeo, Chandra Wilson, James Pickens Jr., Kevin McKidd, Caterina Scorsone, and Camilla Luddington. Recurring cast members include Debbie Allen, Scott Speedman, and Trevor Jackson.
