The Law According to Lidia Poët gets release date for third and final season

Netflix has released the trailer for the third and final season of the Italian series.

The official YouTube trailer reveals that The Law According to Lidia Poët Season 3 will debut on April 15, 2026. Notably, the series premiered in February 2023. Season 2 debuted in October 2024.

Moreover, the streaming giant officially renewed the show for Season 3 in December 2024 (via Variety).

Netflix has also unveiled what fans can expect in the final season. The narrative resumes in April 1887. Lidia’s brother, Enrico, has become a member of the parliament and is trying to pass her law so she can officially practice. Meanwhile, her best friend, Grazia Fontana, faces charges of murdering her husband.

As Lidia takes on the case, she faces off against prosecutor Pierluigi Fourneau, with whom the protagonist is in a secret relationship. Things become further complicated when journalist Jacopo Barberis returns.

Guido Iuculano and Davide Orsini created The Law According to Lidia Poët. Its cast includes Matilda De Angelis as Lidia, Eduardo Scarpetta as Jacopo, Gianmarco Saurino as Pierluigi, and Pier Luigi Pasino as Enrico.

The first season of the series received widespread critical acclaim upon its release and currently has a 100% approval rating on the review-aggregating site Rotten Tomatoes.

Joel Keller of Decider wrote, “The Law According to Lidia Poët is not meant to be a heavy-lifting kind of a show. It’s more or less a classic mystery, set in the late 19th century to satisfy fans of sexy costume dramas. But it’s buoyed by the radiant presence of De Angelis as Lidia.”
