Even though The Gilded Age Season 3 has yet to complete its run, HBO has shared an update on Season 4. The historical drama, which made its television debut back in 2022, has so far released six episodes from the eight-episode roster of its ongoing third installment. As fans eagerly wait for the premiere of the Season 3 finale, which is set to air on August 10, HBO has already announced its plans for the immediate future of the popular TV show.

With each passing edition, the period drama continues to bring in more and more viewers to the fold. HBO even revealed that the series has witnessed a constant growth in the premiere-night viewing of the third season for five consecutive weeks. Additionally, The Gilded Age has recorded an impressive bump of 20% in viewership in its third installment, when compared to Season 2, making it easier for HBO to renew the show for Season 4.
Francesca Orsi, the executive vice president of HBO Programming and head of HBO Drama Series and Films, celebrated Season 3’s success, all the while confirming Season 4, by noting, “We couldn’t be prouder of the undeniable viewership heights ‘The Gilded Age’ has achieved this season. Transporting us to 1880s New York City, Julian Fellowes and the enormously talented cast and crew have created a ‘can’t-miss it’ entertainment experience from week to week, and we’re delighted to continue exploring these characters’ grand ambitions for what we promise will be a thrilling fourth season.”
The ensemble cast of the HBO feature includes Carrie Coon, Morgan Spector, Christine Baranski, Cynthia Nixon, Taissa Farmiga, Harry Richardson, as well as Denée Benton, among others. Despite having renewed The Gilded Age, HBO has yet to reveal an official release date for the edition.
