Plot for Iron Man Director’s Disney Series Teased by New Rumor

In Jon Favreau’s Oswald the Lucky Rabbit series from Disney, Oswald could come to the real world, according to a new rumor. Based on the oldest character by Disney, the series was greenlit by the studio in March 2025. Jon Favreau’s Oswald could be like Sonic the Hedgehog

According to a recent scoop by industry insider My Time To Shine Hello, the Oswald the Lucky Rabbit series by Jon Favreau will reportedly see Oswald travelling to the real world. Thus, the series is speculated to follow a plot similar to recent movies like Sonic the Hedgehog.

The scooper stated, “Jon Favreau’s Oswald show for Disney+ will be about Oswald coming to the real world like the Sonic / Smurfs movies.”

However, this is just a rumor, and nothing about the plot of the show has been released by Disney. The Oswald the Lucky Rabbit series is currently in the early stages of development. However, it was described as an animation/live-action hybrid by Deadline in a report published in March.

In another report by the outlet from June 30, 2025, it was announced that Faveau has cast the series’ lead characters. It stated that Ravi Cabot-Conyers, Mykal-Michelle Harris, and Ryder Allen have joined the show as Jake, Jen, and Taylor, respectively. All three actors are playing middle school students in the series.

Moreover, Variety recently confirmed that Amy Sedaris has joined the Oswald the Lucky Rabbit series. It is reported that the actress will play the role of Taylor’s mother.

Currently, there is no release date window set for the series, though further details are expected to emerge soon.
