John Lithgow has always had a studious quality to him, whether he’s perfecting a foreign accent (as Winston Churchill on Netflix’s The Crown) or playing an alien physics professor on 3rd Rock From the Sun. So it’s no surprise that the award-winning thespian of stage and screen has written a new book of poetry titled Dumpty: The Age of Trump in Verse.
Love is strange: John Lithgow on Gentle Men and Interstellar
As you can imagine from the title, the book of limericks (coming October 29, 2019) focuses on POTUS 45. “They’re comic, doggerel, satirical poems,” Lithgow revealed to host Stephen Colbert on a recent The Late Show appearance. “I’m sort of a reckless rhymester.”
