Sabrina Carpenter was a sight to behold at the MTV VMAs 2025. The singer graced the event in a red see-through Valentino gown, but it was her lavender boa that she carried with her that seemed to pair excellently with her dress. Interestingly, Carpenter’s Valentino outfit was a throwback to Old Hollywood glamor, and her latest appearance proves how she has been unbeatable at making a fashionable statement on the red carpet.

On September 7, Sabrina Carpenter stole the spotlight in her sheer red Valentino gown at the VMAs 2025, with the photos now taking the internet by storm. The cherry red gown designed by Alessandro Michele had a floral and sequin embroidery, which further enhanced its beauty. Its see-through design perfectly flaunted the singer’s body. She paired this outfit with a lavender feathered boa draped around her arms.
Talking about her makeup by Carolina Gonzalez, it comprised of a golden glitter eyeshadow with a mauve pink lipstick and a rainbow rhinestone French manicure. Carpenter chose to keep her blonde hair open in curls and a side bang. Additionally, her matching red heels with diamond earrings and a ring from Tiffany & Co. perfectly completed the look. For her performance, Carpenter donned a silver bra, black sequined underwear over shiny, see-through black tights, and heels.
It was a big night for Carpenter as she secured eight nominations, including Best Album for “Short n’ Sweet” and Best Video of the Year for “Manchild.” While accepting the Best Album Award, the 26-year-old wore a black gown with colorful sequins. Additionally, her bright and purple eyeshadow proved to be the perfect addition to her makeup look.
Carpenter has always been a stunner at award functions, especially the VMAs. During her first attendance, she wore a Versace dress. In the previous year, she recreated Madonna’s iconic look from the 1991 Oscars. Carpenter loves dressing up, and she opened up about the same in her latest conversation with Interview Magazine. She stated, “I love glam. I really, really do. My mom was a dancer, so growing up, makeup and dance recitals and dress-up, all of it was very, very nor- mal [sic] for me. Even right now, I get really excited to dress up.”
