Olivia Rodrigo Dimisses Feud Rumors With Sabrina Carpenter

In her interview with British Vogue, Olivia Rodrigo just put an end to the feud rumors between her and Sabrina Carpenter once and for all. The rumors have hung around since Rodrigo’s first big hit, “driver’s license,” brought her personal life into the spotlight. Now, years later, the story still emerges in headlines and fan pages, even as both artists have allegedly moved on from the drama and have individually established successful careers.

Olivia Rodrigo confirms ‘it’s all love’ between her and Sabrina Carpenter

In the British Vogue interview, Olivia Rodrigo said she feels tired of the internet trying to turn her dynamic with Sabrina Carpenter into a feud. She discussed fame, growing up in the public eye, her love for London, and working on new music, and when Carpenter’s name came up, Rodrigo dismissed the idea that there is bad blood between them.

Rodrigo said, “I think she’s great. I’m so happy for all of her success, too. I love the album she’s put out.” Moreover, she pointed to the way people retell the story online, saying, “No, no, no, it’s good,” adding, “It’s just people just get weird and clickbaity – it’s all love, though. I’ve talked to her many times.” Notably, Rodrigo and Carpenter have publicly supported each other, including the time they hugged at the 2025 Grammy Awards.

In that moment, Rodrigo reflected on how difficult the attention felt like when she was still a teenager, telling the magazine, “Sometimes I meet a 17 or an 18-year-old nowadays, and I’m like, ‘Wow, you are such a baby.’ I can’t believe people were that mean to me.” According to her, “life will never be as hard as it was when I was 17.”

The speculation around Rodrigo’s 2021 single, “drivers license,” and Carpenter’s later release, “Skin,” fueled the feud narrative for years, but Rodrigo’s British Vogue interview put the chatter to rest. She says the “clickbaity” version of the story does not match their dynamic, and describes their relationship as “all love.”
