Just a day after Beyonce braved a prop malfunction, Katy Perry also faced a major scare during her “Lifetimes” Tour in Australia. The incident created a frightening situation for both the pop icon and her fans as she “almost fell” from the giant ball while on stage. The “Lifetimes” Tour is Perry’s fifth concert tour. The concert kicked off in Mexico City on April 23 and is scheduled to conclude in Abu Dhabi on December 7.
Katy Perry suffers a prop malfunction following Beyonce’s incident
Kary Perry recently met with a terrifying incident during her “Lifetimes” Tour in Australia, leaving everyone frightened. The pop icon almost fell out of the circular metal sphere prop during her song at the concert. During the show, the singer climbed into the giant ball, suspended on cables above the stage. However, the moment the sphere was lifted from the ground into the air, it began tilting to one side. Due to the sudden shift, Perry had to hold on to the frame.
Looking at the prop malfunction, fans started screaming. The backstage crew immediately cut the music, dimmed the lights and rushed to help Perry. When the 40-year-old was safe and out of the sphere, fans started applauding and shouted “Go, Katy!” as she went back to the stage.
The dangerous incident came just a day after Beyonce faced a similar prop malfunction issue during her Cowboy Carter Tour. The 43-year-old was performing “16 Carriages” at Houston’s NRG Stadium on Saturday when she sat on a red convertible prop. However, the car unexpectedly slanted mid-air, leaving everyone in panic mode. Immediately, the singer was brought down safely, much to everyone’s relief.
Kate Perry is currently touring Australia, and she will be performing in major cities like Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, and Adelaide. The concert will reportedly take place in venues like Qudos Bank Arena, Brisbane Entertainment Centre, Rod Laver Arena, RAC Arena, and Adelaide Entertainment Centre.
