Beyonce has a cheeky response to car prop malfunction at Cowboy Carter tour

Recently, Beyonce used the red car as a prop at her Cowboy Carter Tour, but what happened next was not on her agenda. While performing “16 Carriages” at Houston’s NRG Stadium on Saturday, the global star used a red convertible as a prop. As such, she was suspended high above the crowd. The New York Times reported that the scene turned into a misadventure when the car unexpectedly slanted mid-air.

It left Beyonce dangling over her fans in the convertible, almost inviting a catastrophe. However, she remained calm while commanding, “Stop. Stop, stop, stop, stop. Stop.” She called for the performance to pause while the crowd witnessed the scene with bated breath. The pop icon gripped a cable for support before the technical team promptly arrived for help. The car was finally lowered, letting fans take a sigh of relief.

Beyonce responded to the mishap with her classic humor and poise. After she was safely back on stage, she reassured her fans, saying, “If ever I fall, I know y’all would catch me.” She took to Instagram later, addressing the situation with a video featuring moments from the night. The singer playfully soundtracked the video to Paul Wall and Big Pokey’s “Sittin’ Sidewayz.” Besides the Houston classic exhibiting her signature cool, she quipped, “Sittin’ Sidewayz,” in the caption.

The “Diva” hitmaker’s management team, Parkwood Entertainment, suggested that the car “tilted” due to a “technical mishap.” They emphasized that she was “quickly lowered and no one was injured,” and declined any further comments. With its elaborate stage productions, the Cowboy Carter Tour is making history, and the unexpected twist with the flying car added to the legend.
