Rob Shuter exclusively learned that Lauren Sanchez’s ex, Tony Gonzalez, and his family would attend her and Jeff Bezos’ wedding. Moreover, Gonzalez and Sanchez’s son, Nikko, would also walk the bride-to-be down the aisle.
The Gonzalezes have seemingly already arrived in Italy to join the Amazon founder and his fiancée as they kick off the pre-wedding celebrations. Sources claimed that “they’re basically a big modern family” and that Gonzalez’s wife, October, even attended “Lauren’s bachelorette in Paris.”
Meanwhile, despite their decades-long history together, Bezos’ ex-wife, MacKenzie Scott, seemingly didn’t get an invite. The former couple shared a 25-year-long marriage and four kids, divorcing in 2019. An insider dished that it wasn’t a “surprise” that Scott would not be attending their wedding. They further claimed that the next few days aren’t “about Jeff’s past,” but his “future” with the bride-to-be.
At the same time, it seems that Lauren Sanchez’s ex-husband, Patrick Whitesell, wasn’t on her and Bezos’ wedding guest list either. A friend claimed that while the journalist and Whitesell — who share two kids, Evan and Ella — “co-parent fine,” reportedly “this isn’t his scene.” The two tied the knot a few years after she parted ways with Gonzalez and stayed together for over a decade, divorcing in 2019.
TMZ also reported that their sources informed them about Gonzalez and his wife attending Sanchez and Bezos’ wedding. The former couple was already “in the area” as they had been vacationing in Europe for the past couple of days. Furthermore, the publication confirmed Whitesell wasn’t on the guest list, similar to Bezos’ ex.
