Shortly after Adrian Anchondo’s final appearance on General Hospital this week, his partner Colton Little penned a lengthy tribute celebrating his career milestones.

Little, who is best known for playing Andrew in Days of Our Lives, praised Anchondo on Instagram. “Having a front row seat to Adrian’s journey on General Hospital taught me so much,” he wrote (via Soap Opera Digest). He further added, “I watched him take the high road over and over, I witnessed his work ethic and sacrifices, and I got to see how much love he shared with the cast and crew. Marco may be gone (for now) but I’m grateful I get to watch Adrian continue to shine outside of Port Charles. Onwards and upwards, baby boy.”

Anchondo took to his Instagram as well to share an emotional farewell of his own. “I started this journey with a story about my mother, how she was with me in spirit at my screen test for Marco, hiding in the compact she used to do her make up in while she watched soap operas on the couch. Now, I know she is looking down and proud of me for all the work I’ve done in the past year on one of the best shows ever created,” the actor wrote.

Anchondo added, “I’m also proud of myself for doing the work, for representing the LGBTQI and Latino community, and for constantly recognizing the magic that every single person on the show creates.”

Adrian Anchondo’s character, Marco, died on the March 25 episode of General Hospital. The character, who was the son of Jenz Sidwell, became entangled in his father’s criminal dealings. This ultimately led to him being stabbed to death.
