Joy Behar Walks Off ‘The View’ Table Before Carrie Underwood Interview

Joy Behar reportedly left the table on “The View” just before an interview with Carrie Underwood. The episode aired on March 24 and quickly sparked conversation online, especially given the history between the two. It is alleged that Behar, along with Sara Haines, left the panelists’ table as part of a “production decision” to make more room for the guests. However, the move fueled rumors, as the TV host had previously called out the singer’s performance at Donald Trump’s inauguration in January 2025.

Joy Behar skips Carrie Underwood interview on ‘The View’

Us Weekly reports that ABC viewers clearly noticed how Joy Behar left the table on “The View” before Carrie Underwood joined for the interview. The episode aired on March 24 and featured Underwood, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan. The renowned comedian was on the show earlier in the episode and left the table along with Sara Haines. She returned after the interview with the “Blown Away” singer was over.

Viewers noticed this and immediately linked it to what happened a year ago. The host had criticized the singer for performing at U.S. President Trump’s presidential inauguration in 2025. The incident at the table led people to speculate that Behar may have wanted to avoid meeting with Underwood.

However, this is not the first time panelists on the show have walked out of interviews. It is usually done to make more room at the table. In fact, a source claims that Behar stepping away was a “production decision.” However, as per viewers, the move was to avoid meeting with Underwood after she criticized her publicly. Behar reportedly said that even though she cannot sing, she wouldn’t perform at the inauguration ceremony.

She had a strong opinion on the matter and said that she would personally not do it and that she believes in free speech. Her views were criticized by Alyssa Farah Griffin, who said that people should move “beyond politics” and that they shouldn’t cancel someone just because they don’t agree with their views.
