Ex-Prince Andrew was reportedly different from other members of the royal family, according to a former butler of the royal family. The Duke of York allegedly had a superiority complex, as per the source.
This statement comes in the light of the former Prince’s arrest on his 66th birthday, on February 19, at his Wood Farm cottage in Sandringham. Authorities have released Andrew since then, reportedly under investigation.
Former royal butler claims ex-Prince Andrew thought he was better than everyone else
Ex-Prince Andrew allegedly thought that he “was better than anyone else.” As reported by RadarOnline, Grant Harrold, a former royal butler, told the outlet that the “entitled” former Duke of York only spoke to other members of the royal family and refrained from interacting with the staff or even engaging in small talk with them.
The former royal butler claimed, “You got the feeling he thought he was better than everyone, just his mannerisms and the way he was.” He continued, “And what was weird for me was no other member of the family did you get that vibe from.” He then added, “Not from the Queen, not from Prince Philip, not from his brother Charles, not from Anne, none of them.”
Harrold added, “But with him he had this, I can’t even explain it to you,” while referring to ex-Prince Andrew. He continued, “I just didn’t want to be in his presence.”
According to the news outlet, the former royal butler also went on to recall how the former Duke of York used to behave with the royal staff members. He said, “I remember being at, again, the wedding of the King and Queen, and he was there, and there were staff members there.” The former royal butler then claimed, “And he didn’t speak to any of the staff members that were there as guests.”
Harrold further explained, “He would only speak to the family or family friends.” “So it’s quite sad actually, ’cause I don’t know why he was like that,” he added.
