King Charles Drops About $5 Million on Country Home Next to Wife’s — Report

King Charles III has reportedly spent close to $5 million on a new house located right next to Queen Camilla‘s countryside home. The property sits beside Camilla’s country retreat, known as Rey Mill, in Wiltshire. The price he paid for the house is said to be much higher than what it was worth about eight years ago. Moreover, it is being reported that the king used his private funds to purchase the property.

King Charles reportedly spent nearly $5 million on new house, far above previous price

King Charles III has reportedly spent nearly $5 million to buy a new house next door to Queen Camilla’s country retreat. The property is located near Rey Mill in Wiltshire, the queen’s countryside home. A Daily Mail report suggests that the price of the house is much higher than it was a few years ago. This reflects a substantial increase in property values over time.

The report also suggests that the king used his “private funds” to buy the property. As per a source, this was done to ensure that the house wouldn’t be sold to someone who could turn it into a business, such as a wedding venue. By purchasing it himself, Charles ensured that the surroundings of Camilla’s country retreat remain secure.

Apparently, a new company named Frisa Nominees Ltd. was established by the monarch to facilitate the purchase of The Old Mill. Limited companies are often used by buyers to manage property purchases in terms of saving taxes and managing inheritance.

However, a palace source argues that this wasn’t the case here. They said the establishment of the new company is “standard practice as part of the administrative process for the property’s purchase and ongoing management.” The move highlights the king’s effort to maintain privacy and control over properties surrounding key royal residences.
