Donald Trump talks to Jake Paul about July 2024 assassination attempt

President Donald Trump survived an assassination attempt in July 2024 at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. The President recalled this attack as he sat down for an interview with Jake Paul.

During the interview, the pair discussed how Trump’s photograph after the shooting went viral. The iconic image saw the bleeding Presidential candidate raising his fist and shouting “fight! fight! fight!”

Referencing the image, Jake Paul asked (via OK Magazine), “Was it hot on your ear? Could you feel the bullet?”

Trump responded, “It had that throbbing feeling. You knew there was something. It was a bloody mess.” The 79-year-old President, who also happens to be the oldest in the office, continued, “The ear bleeds more. I said, ‘Why is there so much blood?’ And the ear is a big bleeder, having to do with cartilage.” He further added, “I don’t want to go into it too much. It was bloody as h***.”

Trump further said that at the time, he checked his ear to understand what was really happening, but it ended up in his hand being “loaded up” with blood.

He added, “I said that’s either the biggest mosquito bite in history or I just got shot.” The President concluded, “It was not a pleasant experience.”

The assassination attempt was one of the biggest events of the year, and it ended up consolidating Trump’s popularity, leading to his election win. As of now, he remains in the office, but is widely debated for his controversial tactics.
