Elon Musk on Women’s Preference for Timothée Chalamet Over Henry Cavill

Tech billionaire Elon Musk recently jumped into a viral internet debate involving Hollywood stars Timothée Chalamet and Henry Cavill. His brief reaction to a controversial post quickly spread online and sparked discussion about attraction and celebrity culture.

The online debate kicked off after a social media post shared an article claiming there might be a “scientific reason” behind why some women prefer Timothée Chalamet over Henry Cavill. The piece, published by Evie Magazine, suggested that hormonal birth control could influence the type of physical traits women find attractive.

The discussion heated up when X user Lauren Chen reacted to the article with a blunt take. She claimed that choosing Chalamet over Cavill was the kind of preference that happens after someone has been on birth control for a decade.

According to the article mentioned in the discussion, some research suggests that hormonal birth control might influence what people find attractive. The idea is that women who use birth control may gravitate toward men with softer or less traditionally rugged facial features. Meanwhile, women who are not on birth control may show a stronger preference for more traditionally masculine traits, such as a pronounced jawline, broad shoulders, or facial hair.

The claim also pointed to a study conducted by researchers in Scotland in 2013. In that experiment, participants first created digital versions of what they considered their ideal male face. Later, some of the women began using birth control and repeated the same test about three months afterward. The researchers reported that, on average, the redesigned faces chosen during the second round tended to display less masculine characteristics.

Elon Musk’s reaction spread fast across X. His reply racked up more than 56,000 likes and pulled in over 38 million views. The discussion also highlighted how different the two actors’ careers are. Chalamet built his reputation through critically praised films like Call Me by Your Name before landing major blockbuster roles in Dune and Wonka. Cavill followed a different Hollywood path. He became a global star after playing Superman in Man of Steel and later gained a huge fan base through his lead role in the fantasy series The Witcher.
