Why Netflix Could Renew Its Hit Boxing Show for Season 3

Recent reports suggest that Netflix will likely renew a popular boxing TV show for Season 3 before its sophomore season debuts on the platform. At Home With the Furys is a reality TV series that revolves around boxing champion Tyson Fury and his family. The show originally premiered on the streaming giant on August 16, 2023. Season 2 is coming out this April.

At Home With the Furys set to be renewed for Season 3 at Netflix

According to a Deadline report, Netflix might soon renew At Home With the Furys for Season 3. The outlet further reports that preparations are underway for the third season at Optomen, an independent production company that All3Media owns. Netflix reportedly declined to respond to Deadline’s requests for comments.

This comes after Netflix and Fury confirmed that Season 2 is happening in February. In a social media post, Fury appeared wearing a robe and said, “We’re back, you dossers.” He then turned to show the embellished words on the back, “At Home With the Furys 2 coming soon.”

The cast of At Home With the Furys includes Fury, his wife Paris, John Fury, Molly-Mae Hague, Tommy Fury, and Jake Paul. The inaugural season has nine episodes. Following its premiere, the show garnered mostly positive responses from the critics and currently has a 77% approval rating on the review-aggregating site Rotten Tomatoes.

Rachel McGrath of The Independent (UK) observed in the outlet’s review that “Netflix doesn’t seem to have realised” that a bored lead “isn’t the best starting point for a series about family life.” McGrath continued, “And yet, as At Home With The Furys unfolds, I found myself unexpectedly empathising with Fury – but the show has a long way to go before reaching the dramatic heights of its reality TV predecessors.”

Notably, Fury’s fight with Russian heavyweight Arslanbek Makhmudov will also take place next month. Netflix will live-stream the event from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on April 11.
