The Forsytes has reportedly been renewed for a third season, as reported by Deadline. Based on John Galsworthy’s classic novel cycle The Forsyte Saga, the drama first aired in the United Kingdom on Channel 5 in October 2025. The six-episode first season is scheduled to debut in the United States on March 22 through PBS’s Masterpiece.
According to the outlet, production on the third season is expected to begin next month in the United Kingdom. Moreover, additional filming is scheduled at locations across Europe. Meanwhile, the sophomore season has already been completed, placing the production several steps ahead of its American debut.
Set in London during the late Victorian era, The Forsytes follows the fortunes and conflicts of the titular wealthy British family. It showcases family members struggling to balance tradition, ambition, and personal desires.
The show’s ensemble cast is led by Francesca Annis as family matriarch Ann Forsyte. She is also joined by Fiona Button as Clarissa Heron, Jack Davenport as James Forsyte, Millie Gibson as Irene Forsyte, Tom Durant-Pritchard as Monty Dartie, and Jamie Flatters as Philip Bosinney, among others.
The television adaptation was written by Debbie Horsfield. Executive producers include Horsfield, along with Meenu Gaur, Michael Ray, and Damien Timmer for Mammoth Screen. Furthermore, Susanne Simpson serves as executive producer for Masterpiece. The series is produced in association with ITV Studios, which handles international distribution. Additionally, PBS Distribution manages North American rights.
With a third season already moving forward, the series appears set to continue exploring lives of the Forsyte family across multiple seasons.
