The controversies surrounding Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, the ex-Prince, don’t seem to be ending anytime soon. He was reportedly arrested on suspicion of misconduct in office, and while he has denied allegations against him, the controversies have shaken the foundation of the British monarchy.
Star Magazine reports that Prince William and Kate Middleton, who share three kids, want to protect their kids from “sordid details” about Andrew. The Princess of Wales is allegedly “very mindful of how much they hear and see.” The source explains that although the fact that their great-uncle is in some scandal hasn’t been hidden from them, Middleton and William want to “protect them from the more sordid details.”
The source continued, “It’s impossible to totally shield them. George and Charlotte are at an age where their friends at school are talking about it, so they do need to address it.” The source continued that the importance would be on how the kids handle the information with “diplomacy.” The source added, “They can’t act like regular kids.”
George and his siblings are in line of succession for the throne. Hence, Middleton is “raising them to be very aware of that.” The source explains, “In the next few years, they will be stepping into bigger roles, when their parents take the throne, they’re being prepped for that every day.”
