Druski reveals he and Timothée Chalamet are planning a buddy-cop movie
Druski just dropped the bombshell that he’s teaming up with Timothée Chalamet for a buddy-cop extravaganza. The comedian recently sat down with Jon Caramanica and Joe Coscarelli for the latest episode of the Popcast podcast. He talked about a standout moment from the Coulda Been Records video featuring Timothée Chalamet during the conversation.
Druski shared that the Dune star suddenly burst into a bit of Kirk Franklin in the audition footage, catching him off guard. The comedian then opened up about the conversations they have had since their Coulda Been Records video collaboration.
“We’ve talked since then multiple times about possibly doing something together like a Bad Boys type film, or something like a Rush Hour,” Druski said, hinting that the project is a no-brainer for investors. The actor further shared that he and the Oscar nominee have been discussing potential next steps.
The buddy-cop action-comedy format has a track record of success, with notable examples including Bad Boys, Rush Hour, 48 Hrs., Lethal Weapon, and Ride Along. These films demonstrate the genre’s potential for box office success, making Druski and Chalamet’s collaboration an intriguing prospect.
Druski’s current projects are focused on his Coulda Been Records brand and viral social media content. He remains active in collaborations with artists such as Drake and Lil Yachty. The 31-year-old has even made notable appearances at prominent events, including the 2026 NFL Honors.
Meanwhile, Chalamet is reprising his role as Paul Atreides in Dune: Part Three, which is scheduled for release on December 18. Additionally, he will feature in Wonka 2, a sequel to the 2023 musical hit Wonka that is currently in development.
