What happened on Survivor Season 50 Episode 2?
Episode 2 of Survivor 50 continued the intense competition among the 24 returning players. One major storyline involved the “Billie Eilish Boomerang Idol,” a hidden advantage placed at each tribe’s camp. This advantage created new connections between players and added more strategy to the game (via Parade).
At Tribal Council, the tribe voted out Savannah Louie. The Survivor 49 winner entered the game as a mystery to many contestants because they had not watched her season. To build trust, she told her tribe right away that she had won her previous season. However, things started to fall apart after she went on a journey.
Savannah defeated Colby Donaldson during the journey and secretly won a “Block-a-Vote” advantage. She hid the truth from her tribe and lied about what happened, which made them suspicious.
Savannah also tried to build an alliance with Joe Hunter, Ozzy Lusth, and Rick Devens, but the plan fell apart after Joe and Rick argued. In the end, the tribe viewed her secretive gameplay as too risky and unanimously voted her out, leaving her emotional as she thanked the show for the opportunity.
The episode also introduced new advantages. Christian Hubicki found the hidden Billie Eilish Boomerang Idol at camp and gave it to Aubry Bracco to build a strong alliance. Interestingly, Aubry’s tribe had just searched her bag because they suspected she had an idol.
The episode also saw rising tensions, as Ozzy Lusth confronted Benjamin Coach Wade about a past challenge incident, while Rick Devens and Joe Hunter argued about their strategy, though they later worked together to vote out Savannah.
Meanwhile, Christian and Rick also created a fake idol using the wrapper from the real one and secretly hid it as part of a risky plan. After Savannah’s elimination, many strong players remain in the competition.
With advantages already in play and alliances constantly changing, the competition in Survivor 50 is becoming even more intense.
