Hillary Clinton Exits Epstein Deposition Over Leaked Photo: ‘I Am Done’

Hillary Clinton’s closed-door testimony before the House Oversight Committee reportedly took an unexpected turn after a photo from inside the room was leaked online. The former secretary of state had been participating in a private deposition related to Jeffrey Epstein when the proceedings were briefly halted.

According to reports and video later released by the committee, tensions flared after it was alleged that an image of Clinton testifying had been shared publicly, despite rules prohibiting such posts.

Hillary Clinton’s Epstein deposition comes to an abrupt pause over leaked photo

Clinton appeared before the House Oversight Committee last Thursday for a private deposition concerning matters tied to Jeffrey Epstein. However, the session reportedly went off the record after it was discovered that a photograph taken inside the hearing room had been circulated on social media.

According to statements made during the deposition, Clinton’s longtime adviser Nick Merrill informed those present that the hearing was being paused because a photo had been shared online, “which is against the rules read at the top of the meeting.” Merrill added that the break was intended to determine how the image was released and whether any rules had been violated.

Multiple outlets have reported that Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) allegedly shared the image with conservative influencer Benny Johnson. During the now-public video of the deposition released on Monday, a member of Clinton’s team can be heard interrupting the proceedings to raise concerns about the photo’s circulation. The aide questioned whether distributing such an image was “permissible and consistent with the rules.”

The exchange quickly escalated. Clinton, visibly frustrated in the footage shared by TMZ, is heard saying, “I’m done with this. If you guys are doing that, I am done.” She then added that she could be held “in contempt from now until the cows come home.” At one point, Boebert acknowledged posting a photo. Still, she claimed that the image was taken before the hearing officially began.

However, Clinton appeared unconvinced by that explanation. In response, she said that the timing did not matter because all participants were expected to follow the same guidelines. “We all are abiding by the same rules!,” she exclaimed.

The congresswoman later indicated she would remove the post. Clinton, however, agreed to pause the testimony, saying, “Yeah, I’m done for now,” before stepping away.
