Lexi Marvel has addressed the continued confusion between herself and fellow influencer Sophie Rain, saying the mix-up has become a part of her interactions with fans. The comparisons have escalated in recent months, particularly after Rain exited the Florida-based Bop House in late July 2025 and Marvel joined it shortly thereafter.
According to Marvel, mistaken identity frequently occurs during in-person encounters. “It happens in public more than people think. Someone will walk up and say, ‘Sophie, I love you,’ and start telling a whole story about a video they watched,” she told The Blast. She added that reactions often shift once she clarifies who she is. The creator explained, “When I say, ‘It’s Lexi,’ they look shocked, then they laugh and ask for the photo anyway.”
Marvel said the confusion is just as common online, where users tag her in fan edits intended for Rain or mislabel posts. “People will even tag me in edits and write captions like I’m Sophie, then argue with each other in the replies,” she explained. Marvel added, “I try to keep it simple and say, ‘Lexi here,’ because it’s not worth making anyone feel dumb.”
Rain confirmed that she encounters similar situations from the opposite side. “People mix us up in real life and in comments, and it doesn’t stop. Someone will run up and say, ‘Lexi, you killed it,’ and they are being so genuine,” she said. Rain added that she does not view the comparisons negatively. The resemblance between the two creators has prompted ongoing discussion across social platforms, with some followers even questioning whether they are related.
