Logan Paul’s Pokémon Card Hits $16M at Record-Breaking Auction

Logan Paul‘s prized Pokémon card has become the centerpiece of a record-shattering auction, leaving collectors and enthusiasts in awe. However, the sheer magnitude of its $16 million price has sent shockwaves throughout the collectibles world.

Logan Paul’s Pokémon card registers a $16 million bid in auction

Logan Paul’s rare Pikachu Illustrator Pokémon card has fetched a staggering $16.492 million in an auction, shattering records and cementing its status as the most expensive trading card ever sold.

The auction, hosted by Goldin, ended on February 15, 2026, with a bang. Touted as the “holy grail” of treasures, the auction saw Paul earn more than triple his initial investment, further solidifying his reputation as a savvy collector and shattering his own Guinness World Record.

The Goldin auction garnered 97 bids, with a surge in last-minute activity during an extended bidding period, propelling the price from $6.882 million to over $16.4 million. The purchaser, reportedly identified as AJ Scaramucci, founder of Solari Capital, snagged the treasure.

The auction package is a collector’s dream. Besides the coveted PSA 10 Pikachu Illustrator card, it features a bespoke diamond-encrusted necklace worn by Logan Paul at WrestleMania 38, and a personal hand-delivery by Logan Paul himself.

What makes the Pikachu Illustrator card so special is that it is one of only 39 in existence, making it one of the rarest Pokémon cards in the world. Logan Paul acquired the card in a July 2021 trade, valued at $5.275 million. The deal made waves due to the card’s extreme rarity.

The sale of the Pikachu Illustrator has sparked a frenzy of reactions, with netizens weighing in on the staggering price tag and Paul’s savvy business move. “Rare collectibles really out here outperforming some stock portfolios,” wrote a fan under Pubity’s X (formerly Twitter) post. “Mom said they’d be worthless,” joked another. “Congrats, $16M for a Pokémon card. Truly the adulting we all dreamed of as kids. To be very rich to do whatever we want,” commented yet another fan.

As the collectibles market continues to grow, record-breaking sales like this one are becoming the new norm. Collectors are now able to connect with each other and showcase their prized possessions like never before.
