HBO’s Emmy-winning satire The White Lotus has added another major name to its already star-filled Season 4 roster, tapping a versatile actor known for a standout role in a hit Apple TV+ series.
Sandra Bernhard joins the cast of The White Lotus Season 4
Sandra Bernhard, celebrated for her recent turn in Apple TV’s critically acclaimed series Severance and her role in the Oscar-nominated film Marty Supreme, has officially joined the cast of The White Lotus Season 4 (via Deadline).
Details regarding Bernhard’s character remain tightly under wraps, consistent with creator Mike White’s secretive approach to each new installment. She will join the previously announced cast featuring Helena Bonham Carter, Steve Coogan, Caleb Jonte Edwards, Marissa Long, Alexander Ludwig, Chris Messina, and AJ Michalka. Casting for The White Lotus Season 4 is reportedly still ongoing as White finalizes the group of wealthy guests and diligent employees destined for another fateful week.
The new season will trade tropical beaches for the glamour of the French Riviera. The primary hub for Season 4 will be the luxurious Château de La Messardière, a 19th-century palace-turned-hotel in Saint-Tropez. This is the first time the series will not be filmed at a Four Seasons property.
Sources tell Variety that the story will also take place in other iconic locations along the coast and potentially in Paris, with rumors that the Cannes Film Festival could play a part in the plot.
Sandra Bernhard brings an eclectic resume to The White Lotus Season 4’s set. She most recently appeared in A24’s Marty Supreme and Apple TV+’s Severance, where she played a scientist in the final episodes of Season 2. Her recent credits also include Disney+’s Percy Jackson and the Olympians, the film Babes, directed by Pamela Adlon, and Netflix’s Survival of the Thickest.
She is also best known for her film work in The King of Comedy, Hudson Hawk, and Without You I’m Nothing. And now, Sandra Bernhard will soon be in The White Lotus Season 4.
