Chris Brown Slammed for Bad Bunny Super Bowl Set Shade: ‘Shut the F*** Up’

Chris Brown slammed for throwing shade at Bad Bunny over his Super Bowl halftime performance. Bunny headlined the Super Bowl halftime on February 8 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. While most fans absolutely loved the Puerto Rican star’s performance, a certain section of fans and celebrities took jabs at the Grammy winner’s halftime performance.

Internet slams Chris Brown over Bad Bunny Super Bowl set shade

Chris Brown took a swipe at Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime performance. He wrote on his Instagram Stories, “I THINK IT’S SAFE TO SAY… THEY NEED ME!” The comment was followed by a wink emoji. The comment came a couple of minutes after the 31-year-old delivered a brilliant performance, celebrating his Puerto Rican roots.

The internet blasted Brown for his unsavory and unnecessary take on Bunny’s Super Bowl performance. One fan commented, “Yeah, we need him to shut the f**k up.” A second fan wrote, “Bad Bunny just put on a massive show and this man’s response is making it about himself. The desperation to stay relevant is showing hard right now.” A third fan remarked, “To shut the f**k up? We do need that, I fear.”

A fourth fan attached an old quote from Brown’s ex-girlfriend Rihanna, “Good luck with booking that stage you speak of.” Finally, one fan penned, “We don’t need his goofy a** hitting 20 flips like a six-year-old having a sugar rush.”

Furthermore, Brown locked the comments section on his Instagram account as people continued bashing him for shading Bunny (via Indy 100).

Benito (real name) enthralled the audience by performing some of his greatest hit songs like “Monaco,” “Yo Perreo Sola,” and “Tití Me Preguntó.” Celebrities like Pedro Pascal, Young Miko, Cardi B, Karol G, Jessica Alba, and Alix Earle featured in Benito’s iconic pink Casita, which means “little house” in Spanish.

The Grammy winner called Lady Gaga on stage, who performed her rendition of “Die With a Smile.” Puerto Rican legend Ricky Martin joined Benito as well and sang “Lo Que Pasó a Hawaii” (via Page Six).

The underlying theme of Benito’s Super Bowl performance was, “The only thing more powerful than hate is love.”
