Warriors’ Star Steph Curry Ruled Out of 2026 All-Star Game

Stephen Curry won’t be suiting up for the 2026 NBA All-Star game. Warriors head coach Steve Kerr confirmed the news, saying Curry is still rehabilitating a knee injury. That update puts an end to weeks of speculation about whether the sharpshooting icon would be cleared in time for the league’s midseason spectacle.

Step Curry is going to miss the 2026 All-Star game for this reason

Curry has been out of action since January 30 after tweaking his knee and has already missed five straight games. He was also a no-show in Monday’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies, and Steve Kerr stressed that the team isn’t rushing anything when it comes to their superstar.

Kerr added that Curry is set to miss at least two more outings, including Wednesday’s clash with the San Antonio Spurs and the All-Star game, which takes place six days after the announcement. No clear return date was shared, meaning Curry’s status after the break is still very much up in the air.

The update is a tough pill to swallow, especially considering Curry was putting together yet another standout year in his 17th NBA season. Fans voted him in as an All-Star starter after he posted 27.2 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game, while knocking down shots at a 46.8% clip. Before the knee injury slowed him down, he was placed among the league’s elite guards.

His absence also snaps an impressive All-Star run. Since exploding onto the court in 2014, Curry has been a constant presence at the All-Star Game. He only missed it once in 2020 after suffering a wrist injury. For over a decade, the All-Star spotlight always featured either Curry or his on-court rival and off-court buddy, LeBron James. With Curry ruled out, James becomes the lone remaining constant.

The Los Angeles Lakers star is confirmed as a starter for Team Stripes. However, reports note that his own health situation has created some uncertainty heading into the weekend. Team Stripes will now need a replacement for Curry. The league has not yet announced who will take his spot.
