For Ciara and her husband Russell Wilson, helping friends find love isn’t a serious mission; it’s something they genuinely enjoy. The couple spoke with PEOPLE while attending The One Party by Uber on Feb. 6 during Super Bowl LX weekend, and were refreshingly honest about their unexpected role as romance facilitators.

“We get excited when we get to help our friends find love,” Ciara said. “It brings us joy.” Wilson shared the same feeling, adding, “We believe in love. Whenever we can set people up, it’s always the best.”
They already have a strong track record as matchmakers. Ciara and Wilson introduced Normani and DK Metcalf, and that relationship led to an engagement in March 2025. Ciara celebrated the moment by sharing a screenshot of a FaceTime call where she found out the news, reminding fans that the match was no coincidence. “Russell and I knew when we introed y’all three years ago… love was truly in the air,” she wrote at the time. “Now y’all gon be booed up forever.”
The couple also played cupid for Coco Jones and Donovan Mitchell, who got engaged in July 2025. At this point, Ciara admits the whole thing feels almost playful. “It’s kind of a fun game for us at this point,” she said, “but it makes us happy when people can experience love.” And yes, she confirmed they’re not done. “Any chance we get, we’re going to do it.”
Speaking with PEOPLE late last year at the 2025 TikTok Awards, she opened up about what she hopes to bring into 2026. “More joy, more music, more success,” she said at the time. “More zeros, you know what I’m saying?” She also teased something fans have been waiting for: a tour. “Yeah, I’m excited,” she added.
