The menu at the Super Bowl LX was one of its kind, thanks to one particular item that cost $180. On February 8, the Seattle Seahawks played the New England Patriots at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. Fans who had turned up at the annual league championship game enjoyed a variety of food specific to the Bay Area, and the one that left jaws hanging cost $180.
Super Bowl LX’s this menu item is priced at $180
The $180 item that the Levi’s Restaurants were selling at the game was a burger. It went viral on the internet for its massive size and, of course, its whopping price. Labeled the “LX Hammer Burger,” it featured a freshly baked brioche bun, tender bone-in beef shank, rich roasted mirepoix demi-glace, and creamy Point Reyes bleu cheese fondue.
Swapping the traditional ground beef patty, the cooks decided to serve a slow-braised, bone-in beef shank. The meat fell off the bone if cooked well. Meanwhile, the bone from the shank stuck out of a hole at the top of the bun, adding to the allure of the massive burger. The item weighed roughly three and a half pounds and served four people at a time.
ESPN’s official X account shared the video of the huge burger. In the comment section, fans could not help but joke about the monstrosity. User @ikepower_ wrote, “Ordering a shareable burger at the Super Bowl is a bold move. Can’t wait to see four grown men trying to split a demi glace bun in Row 40 without getting sauce on a $400 jersey.”
Another user bryan_johnson commented, “After eating that, be sure to go on a walk to the Mexican border (130 miles) and back to help with digestion.” Some fans also pointed out how pricey the burger was. User @_leo_editz_ wrote, “180 bucks? I could get like 20 Whataburgers and still have change for beer. Super Bowl prices hitting different.”
