Patriots’ Mack Hollins Goes Viral for His Pre-Game Prison Uniform Look

New England Patriots wide receiver Mack Hollins turned heads before kickoff at Super Bowl LX after arriving at the stadium in a prison uniform that instantly went viral across social media. The striking look quickly became one of the most talked-about pre-game moments of the night.

Mack Hollins came to Super Bowl LX on February 8, wearing a full prison jumpsuit with his wrists and ankles shackled together. He wore maroon prison-style scrubs and carried a jersey with the word “Warriors” emblazoned on the back. He also had a mask covering the lower half of his face. True to his well-known personal tradition, the Patriots player was also barefoot.

The viral moment captured by photographers showed Hollins navigating the stadium in the full ensemble. However, for pre-game workouts on the field, he swapped the prison look for a different meaningful jersey: one representing Walsh Jesuit High School in Ohio, where Patriots coach Mike Vrabel played.

The prison uniform was a one-off statement, but Hollins’ barefoot arrival is a consistent trademark. He is famously known for going “shoeless,” a practice he passionately defends. In a 2023 interview with NBC, he stated, “everyone should be barefoot,” and addressed hygiene concerns by noting he washes his feet “all the time.”

“It’s so funny that people look at me like that because shoes are definitely dirtier than feet,” Hollins added. He has elaborated on his beliefs in other interviews, telling Sports Illustrated ahead of the 2025 season about the perceived health benefits. “Strength of the foot, strength of the knee, strength of the ankle,” he listed. “Free electrons from the body, so you feel more grounded.”

Hollins, who won Super Bowl LII with the Philadelphia Eagles, embraces a unique lifestyle beyond his footwear. He has publicly stated he does not eat vegetables, prefers eating with his hands, and distrusts wireless headphones. He frames these choices as part of his authentic self.
