Bad Bunny Gets Complete Support of Grammy Winner Ahead of Super Bowl LX

The year has just begun, and Bad Bunny is already off to a great start. The Puerto Rican rapper made history at the Grammys this year, as Debí Tirar Más Fotos became the first Spanish-language album to win Album of the Year. Lady Gaga, who supported him at the Grammys, has since voiced her continued support in a recent interview.

In a conversation with PEOPLE, Lady Gaga praised the rapper whose real name is Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio, saying, “I have endless admiration for Benito. He’s a brilliant musician and an incredibly kind human being.” Besides Album of the Year, Bad Bunny won two other awards.

In his acceptance speeches, Bunny spoke out in support of people across the U.S. who are facing fear and uncertainty due to recent government actions. The “Bad Romance” singer praised him for taking a stand. She told PEOPLE, “What he said on that stage about love being more powerful than hate moved me to tears. We need more artists willing to use the biggest moments to speak the truth.”

Bunny will headline the Super Bowl halftime show this year. When Gaga, who took the stage at the Super Bowl in 2017, was asked if she had any advice for the Spanish rapper, she replied, “Honestly, I don’t think he needs any from me. He knows who he is, and that’s the only thing that matters when you step onto that stage. All he has to do is be the beautiful person he already is, and the world will feel his heart.”

Super Bowl fans are in for a special treat, as they will not only see Bunny perform for the halftime show but also catch a glimpse of Gaga in a commercial. The 39-year-old has covered Mister Rogers’ Won’t You Be My Neighbor for a Rocket and Redfin ad set to air during Super Bowl LX.
