New Lady Gaga Concert Film Set To Hit YouTube Sooner Thank You Think

Lady Gaga is preparing to close out the year with a special release for her fans. The pop icon has officially announced a new concert film on social media that will debut on YouTube, with its release date arriving sooner than expected.

Lady Gaga’s Harlequin Live: One Night Only to release on December 24

Lady Gaga’s new concert film, Harlequin Live: One Night Only, will premiere on YouTube on December 24 at 4 p.m. PT. The project arrives as a holiday release for fans. She wrote in the caption of her Instagram post, “Happy holidays to you and yours.”

In an interview with Variety, Lady Gaga addressed the timing of her concert film’s release. She said, “I’m feeling like: Why not?” She added, “It’s kind of a rebellious project. And, by Harlequin standards, Christmas is the perfect time to release something rebellious.”

The concert film was recorded on September 30, 2024, during an intimate live performance at the Belasco Theatre in downtown Los Angeles. The show was staged exclusively for a small group of fans and featured Gaga performing the Harlequin album in full. The album served as a companion release to Joker: Folie à Deux, in which Gaga starred opposite Joaquin Phoenix, Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, and others.

Harlequin Live: One Night Only was executive produced by Gaga and her fiancé, Michael Polansky, who were both closely involved in the project’s creative direction. Todd Tourso and Mel Roy of mtla.studio also contributed creatively. Meanwhile, the film’s cinematography was handled by director of photography Marcell Rév. Musical direction was led by Gaga alongside Brian Newman, Tim Stewart, and Alex Smith.

Harlequin showcases Gaga’s interpretations of classic Great American Songbook standards. This includes Frank Sinatra’s “That’s Life” and “I’ve Got the World on a String,” as well as Judy Garland’s “Get Happy.” The album has also earned industry recognition and is nominated for Best Traditional Pop Album at the 2026 Grammy Awards.
