Taylor Swift is reportedly “hesitant” to invite Blake Lively to her upcoming nuptials with Travis Kelce. Sources state that their friendship is still going through a rough patch amid Lively’s ongoing legal battle with Justin Baldoni.
Sources suggest Taylor Swift might not invite Blake Lively
According to Us Weekly, Taylor Swift allegedly feels “some hesitation” to invite Blake Lively to her wedding. A source told the outlet that the recently unveiled texts between her and Lively have made the singer “feel exposed and kind of violated, like, something private suddenly wasn’t hers anymore. That doesn’t sit well with her.”
The insider suggested that the tension between Swift and Lively remains unresolved. “It’s not what it once was,” they stated. The source further added, “There has been an emotional gap that’s hard to ignore, and rebuilding that closeness doesn’t feel simple or immediate. Their friends aren’t sure if they will ever be back to how they used to be.”
According to the insider, Swift is hesitant to invite Lively to her wedding to Kelce. The actress’s appearance at the event “would likely trigger a media frenzy.”
Another source claimed that the longtime friends have not been on speaking terms for the past year. “They may have exchanged texts here and there since, but it’s been a long time since they’ve had a meaningful conversation. Taylor has stepped back because it has eroded a bit of trust between them,” the insider said.
The source also alleged that Swift feels “violated by proximity,” although she understands that Lively didn’t intentionally involve her in the lawsuit. They said, “When Taylor got pulled into this, it triggered boundary tightening… It will take time to see how things end up between them.”
The report comes just weeks after the unsealing of a series of text messages between Swift and Lively on January 20. They were among the many documents that were made public ahead of the summary judgment hearing of the ongoing legal battle between Lively and Baldoni. The case will go to trial on May 18, 2026.
