Ex-Prince Andrew has been at the centre of controversy for many months. And looking at the seriousness of the issue, his daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, have distanced themselves from their father. But as per a source, it is Eugenie who is feeling the pinch for being dragged into her parents’ scandal.
Princess Eugenie ‘feels like she’s being tarnished with a brush that’s not hers,’ per source
Ex-Prince Andrew was stripped of his titles due to the controversies surrounding him. He and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, were even ordered to leave the Royal Lodge. But per a source, amid all this, it’s their daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, who have been feeling the heat. And due to the never-ending controversies, the younger daughter, Eugenie, has distanced herself from her parents.
A close friend of Eugenie revealed her state of mind. She told Page Six that the princess “feels like she’s being tarnished with a brush that’s not hers, that’s her father’s.” Adding that “She’s very, very frustrated.”While a friend of both sisters revealed that although both princesses “are in as good as spirits as they can be, but it’s a s–t show, a never-ending s–t show.”
Echoing the same sentiments, another friend of the princesses asserted that “the girls are trapped in this situation, where the palace is also trying to protect King Charles and the monarchy.” The royal expert Katie Nicholl told the Mirror that, despite being in this tricky situation, the princess will “always support their parents.”
However, she thinks “they’re creating some distance from Andrew. Even though he’s their father, the reality is that his reputation has become damaging and toxic.” Nicholl further added that since the princesses “are young women with their own successful careers.” They “just want to get on with that.”
