Late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel slammed President Donald Trump for his recent comment about CNN journalist Kaitlin Collins. When asked about the Epstein Files and victims of Jeffrey Epstein, Trump seemingly tried to avoid the issue altogether before personally attacking Kaitlan Collins. Kimmel went on to say that it was the worst response to the question that Collins asked.
Jimmy Kimmel calls out Donald Trump
Jimmy Kimmel, a vocal critic of the present regime, has called out Donald Trump for his response to CNN journalist Kaitlan Collins. The host showed the clip on his show, where Collins questioned Trump about the survivors of Epstein’s sex trafficking case.
Initially, Donald Trump was insisting that the country should move on from the Epstein scandal. This is where Collins posed her question, but Trump did not have a straight answer.
“You are the worst reporter. CNN has no ratings because of people like you,” he snapped at the journalist, “I don’t think I’ve ever seen you smile. I’ve known you for ten years. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a smile on your face… You know why you’re not smiling? Because you know you’re not telling the truth. And you’re a very dishonest organization, and they should be ashamed of you.”
Kimmel reacted to the clip by saying, “We are now at the ‘women should smile more’ stage of his presidency.” Kimmel went on to further explain how it was the worst possible response. “I’m trying to think of a worse time to tell a woman to smile more than when that person is a reporter asking about the Epstein victims. I can’t.”
This is hardly the first time that Donald Trump has resorted to personal insults when faced with journalists. He had previously called Collins “stupid and nasty” on Truth Social. He also had inappropriate responses to other female journalists in the past.
