Mad Men & Scandal Stars’ New Apple TV Series Gets Exciting First Teaser

Apple TV has released the first teaser of its highly anticipated limited series headlined by Elisabeth Moss and Kerry Washington, two Emmy winners. Imperfect Women will soon be available to stream online, and the new 30-second trailer gives a taste of what viewers can expect from the show.

Apple TV’s Imperfect Women debuts first teaser

The recently released Imperfect Women teaser centers on three women who have known each other since college and appear inseparable on the surface. As seen in the clip, moments of warmth and camaraderie coexist with unease, suggesting that not everything is as perfect as it appears. The teaser implies that Kate Mara’s character, Nancy, dies. This event seemingly upends the group and propels the story into darker territory.

Based on Araminta Hall’s novel of the same name, Imperfect Women explores how a single crime can fracture a friendship built over decades. Elisabeth Moss plays Mary, a writer whose outward composure hides deeper problems. Kerry Washington stars as Eleanor, the single friend in the group, described as avoidant with a guarded and unclear past. Together with Nancy, the trio appears polished on the surface, though the teaser makes it clear that appearances are misleading.

The series also introduces the men connected to the three women. Corey Stoll plays Mary’s husband, Joel Kinnaman plays Nancy’s husband, and Leslie Odom Jr. appears as Eleanor’s brother. Apple TV previously shared a first-look image in December, which showed the three leads smiling and clinking glasses. It is a sharp contrast to the darker direction suggested by the teaser and the show’s synopsis.

Created for television by Annie Weisman, Apple TV’s upcoming show is an eight-episode limited series that examines guilt, betrayal, love, and retribution as an investigation slowly exposes uncomfortable truths. As the mystery unfolds, the series questions how well people truly know those closest to them.

Imperfect Women will make its global debut on March 18 with the first two episodes. This will be followed by weekly releases through April 29 on Apple TV.
