Sam Neill Reunites With Laura Dern & Jeff Goldblum for Super Bowl LX Ad

The stars of the original Jurassic Park have reunited for one of the biggest ad spots of the year. Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum have returned as Alan Grant, Ellie Sattler, and Ian Malcolm in a Super Bowl commercial for Xfinity, marking their latest appearances in the roles from the iconic 1993 blockbuster.

Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum reunite in Super Bowl ad

The OG Jurassic Park crew is back in action for Comcast’s very first Super Bowl ad for Xfinity. Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum stepped back into their iconic roles as Alan Grant, Ellie Sattler, and Ian Malcolm, but with a humorous twist. This time, the park’s biggest headache isn’t rampaging dinos, it’s sketchy internet. Thanks to Xfinity’s Wi-Fi keeping everything running smoothly, the usual Jurassic chaos never really gets out of hand.

The spot is directed by Oscar-winner Taika Waititi, who puts his signature playful spin on the whole setup. There’s a longer version already live online, while a shorter cut will roll during the game. Waititi has worked with Neill before on several films, including Hunt for the Wilderpeople, making for another fun reunion for fans of the actor.

Fans of Jurassic Park will spot several callbacks to the original film, including a recreation of the rain-soaked T. rex fence scene. This time, instead of disaster looming, Dern’s Ellie offers a more optimistic twist: “I think we’re back in business.” Goldblum also delivers a relaxed spin on his famous “life finds a way” line, lounging poolside and commenting on the surprisingly strong Wi-Fi signal.

To keep things authentic, Comcast partnered with Universal and Amblin to use John Williams’ original score, Industrial Light & Magic visual effects, and recreated costumes and sets from the 1993 film. The attention to detail is meant to make the ad feel like a true extension of the movie, not just a cheeky parody.

The trio of actors last shared the screen in Jurassic World Dominion back in 2022, and the franchise continually references their legacy.
