2025’s Captain America: Brave New World was reportedly going to introduce MCU fans to a whole new Hulk in an alternate post-credits scene, before the Part 4 makers ultimately decided to scrap the idea. While the movie did feature the first live-action appearance of the Red Hulk, a recent rumor claims that it was also going to mark the debut of Amadeus Cho.
Captain America 4’s alternate post-credits scene revealed in new rumor
According to renowned entertainment insider Daniel Richtman, Captain America: Brave New World had initially planned to include the character of Amadeus Cho, also known as the Totally Awesome Hulk, in the pages.
“Per test screenings, Logan Kim (Ghostbusters: Afterlife and Frozen Empire) was cast in Captain America: Brave New World as Amadeus Cho and had a scene with Sam. The post-credits scene originally featured Sam and the Leader discussing how the Leader turned Cho into a Hulk. I wonder if Kim is still going to play the role now,” Richtman revealed (via ComicBookMovie.com).
Per the outlet, another angle regarding Amadeus Cho’s involvement in Captain America 4, which received much attention during the film’s test screenings, saw Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) approach the young scientist at Stark Industries. Sam’s motivation for meeting with Cho was to gain more knowledge about the Gamma-irradiated pills the Leader (Tim Blake Nelson) had been feeding Thaddeus Ross (Harrison Ford) to turn him into the Red Hulk.
Nevertheless, Captain America 4’s final cut featured neither the post-credits scene described by Richtman, nor the one that saw Sam Wilson encounter Amadeus Cho. In fact, the movie did not mention Cho or the Totally Awesome Hulk at all. Moreover, it remains unclear if Logan Kim will embody the character when, or if, it ever makes an appearance in the MCU.
Instead of introducing Cho, the actual post-credits scene of Captain America 4 sees Sam Wilson come face-to-face with Samuel Sterns, AKA the Leader, with the latter warning him of an imminent, intergalactic attack.
