The post did not include any caption beyond an eyes emoji, but it quickly gained traction, with multiple replies speculating on Carter’s role as the Power Broker.
Set photos from Avengers: Doomsday, shared on Reddit early this year, show the return of Madripoor, a fictional Southeast Asian island first seen in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. In that series, Sharon Carter operated from Madripoor and was revealed as the Power Broker, the city’s secret criminal leader.
Leaked images from the London-based shoot show signage and buildings that match Madripoor’s design. This suggests the film will revisit the island. It could hint at Sharon Carter’s return or the involvement of X-Men characters, who also have ties to Madripoor in Marvel Comics.
Rumors surrounding Vision Quest, a Disney+ series expected to feature Paul Bettany’s White Vision, also mention Madripoor. As previously reported by SuperHeroHype, according to insider Daniel Richtman, Vision will visit Madripoor while searching for his memories. In this storyline, he will encounter Ultron in human form, played once again by James Spader.
