It’s wind in the sails.”
Elordi’s nomination comes for his transformative portrayal of The Creature in Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein, a role he describes as deeply personal and the kind of performance he has dreamed about since he was young. He said the character allowed him to express parts of himself he’s wanted to explore for years. “It’s every bit of the dream that I’ve had since I was 12,” Elordi explained.
Frankenstein scored a huge win at the Oscars with nine nominations, putting the spotlight on both the performances and the craft behind the film.
