Brooklyn Beckham publicly addressed his ongoing family feud with parents David and Victoria Beckham on Instagram. In a lengthy statement, he said, “I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private,” but claimed his parents’ press activity forced him to respond. He stated, “I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”
Brooklyn alleged that his parents “controlled narratives in the press” through “performative social media posts, family events, and inauthentic relationships.” He accused them of placing “countless lies in the media” to maintain their public image. Brooklyn also claimed David and Victoria “repeatedly pressured and attempted to bribe” him into signing away the rights to his name.
He further stated that his refusal “affected the payday” and led to a shift in how they treated him. During wedding planning, Brooklyn alleged Victoria called him “evil” for choosing to seat Nicola’s grandmother and his Nanny Sandra at their table. He also claimed family members said Nicola was “not family” the night before their wedding and that his brothers attacked him on social media before he blocked them.
Brooklyn said Victoria “hijacked” his first dance with Nicola during the wedding, dancing with him instead, which he described as making him feel “uncomfortable or humiliated.” He said they later renewed their vows privately to make new memories. He denied that Nicola controls him and said his anxiety disappeared after distancing himself from his family.
